His and Hers steaks.

His; New York Strip.  Hers; Rib eye.  The steaks are marinated in garlic-Worcestershire, then grilled at very high heat and topped with a horseradish-green onion sauce.  The skin-on red potatoes are mashed with sour cream, butter, and ranch.

Mixed greens and peach salad.

Mixed greens including Swiss chard, radicchio, and arugula tossed with sliced doughnut peaches, sesame seeds and dressed with a fresh honey-balsamic vinaigrette.

Old Bay meets honey.

Chicken breast spent a few hours in a brine, then butterflied and glazed with an Old Bay and honey mixture, then grilled and re-glazed.  Corn bread stuffing with leeks and thyme.  Green beans and fresh corn.  Belly is happy.

Rabbit

Rabbit  thigh and tenderloin;  pan seared, then braised in an oniony lemon-garlic chicken broth reduction.  Served with rosemary potatoes and carrots.  Me thinks it may be time for a new camera, some lights, and maybe a photography lesson or two.

Big Salad

Big Salad:  Spinach base with carrots, red bell peppers, green olives, chopped chicken, black beans, and some of the spicy ranch that I used on the fried green beans from earlier.

GB2

The recipe is virtually the same as last time, though the sauce is now a spicy cayenne ranch.  This attempt was mostly about improving the process and presentation.  That's not true; this attempt was mostly about me eating green beans.  It was secondarily about improving process and presentation, both of which I did.  I just wish I had a lemon wedge to serve on the side.

Sausage & Peppers

Sunday comfort food: Sausage and Peppers.  Quad-colored bell peppers, red, green, yellow, and orange with onions, a bit of tomato, chicken stock, and sage sausage from a local farm.  Black beans added as filler.  All of it seasoned liberally with smoked paprika.
